Welcome to our 1S blog!
My name is Ms. Summerville. This will be my second year teaching at Philip's Academy and I am so excited to start the year!
This website will be used to keep you updated on the happenings in our class! It is also a place where you can find many first grade resources and information about school and classroom procedures. Take a look around the blog and learn more about our curriculum and procedures! In September, we will work on learning everybody’s names, building a community, reading & writing a lot, playing math games, and practicing important classroom rules.
First graders: I hope you are enjoying your last few days of summer. I cannot wait to see you on August 26th, 2019! I am so excited for the new school year! This day will be a half day with 12:30 PM dismissal!

Parents & Guardians: I look forward to meeting you at Back to School Night on Tuesday September 17th @ 5:30 PM in Room 318. More information will be sent home in folders in the coming weeks!
